GSMW Job Description:
The Quality Technician is charged with the responsibility for ensuring all fabricating operations have quality information and support needed to repeatedly produce to our customers’ quality standard. The Quality Technician provides accurate quality devices and expertly tests, inspects, sorts, samples and weighs raw and process material, machined or fabricated parts to detect deviations from specifications. This job description is intended to be an overview of primary responsibilities for this position.
All employees are charged with providing assistance in generally similar duties when management deems it necessary. Special projects and activities may also be created where employees’ talents can best be utilized. Organizational Relationships and Authority
The Quality Technician reports directly to Quality Supervisor
The primary responsibility of the Quality Technician is to support external customers’ regarding quality issues, address supplier non-conformances, support manufacturing through inspection of first articles, prepare new product FAI packages for customers, incoming inspection, CMM programming, gage control, create product and process inspection/control plans, and support quality metrics projects.
